Dance and the Arts are steeped in tradition and discipline. They are a great part of the Humanities, which is the backbone of our society.
Our students use the tools they develop in their training at Westside Studio to be even better students academically, structured and confident individuals, physically healthy, appreciative of the soul and the beauty of music and the Arts. The Southern Utah STARS is a member of the STARS National Dance
Program. This program was founded 35 years ago by Pat Rhodes, who is
currently the National Director. The STARS has over 35 sister teams in the
Western United States, including teams in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, New
Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, & Oregon.
The Southern Utah STARS opened in St. George Utah in August 2003 by director, Julie Colbert. The STARS have performed at many local events the past 5 years, including the Dickens Christmas Festival, Dixie State College basketball games, the St. George Art Festival, the Dixie Escalante Kite Festival, the Holiday Bowl in San Diego California, the Las Vegas All American Classic Bowl game, the Oakland Raiders vs. New York Giants football game in Oakland California on New Year's Eve 2005, several parades and local festivals around Washington County, the Washington County fair, and several competitions both locally & nationally. The STARS are planning on performing at an NFL game next year.
We have an awesome staff here at STARS. All teachers are very
experienced in the particular type of dance they teach. Each teacher has
extensive training in technique and teaching skills.

The Dance Shoppe is a brand new dance studio located in Festival Plaza, next to to Costco and Sportsmans. Classes offered: Ballet, Tap, Combo, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Clogging and an All-boys Hip Hop class. 3 Large dance rooms with mirrors, wood floors, bars and viewing windows for parents!

Premier Dance Center is located in St. George, Utah off the Black Ridge Drive. Premier Dance Center is dedicated to educating and developing inspiration, discipline, and knowledge through the expression of dance. We will give opportunities to our students to become stong, determined and motivated through dance. Our curriculum comes from trained professionals of dance willing to pass on their knowledge through and uplifting program. throughout Southern Utah parents are wanting their children to be active and have fun being active.
High School students, College students, and others are looking for places to improve their dancing skills and stay in shape. PIZAZZ Dance Team is a group of young ladies who love to dance and have a ton of fun! Learn jazz, lyrical, military, and hip-hop routines. Build your confidence, work on showmanship, and focus on your dance technique. The instructor, Christy Whitaker, who believes in a positive and upbeat dance environment, has been involved in dancing for more than 30 years and has been an instructor for the past fourteen years. You will get the opportunity to perform at several local basketball halftimes, competitions, and other exciting events. PIZAZZ dancers have performed for several years at the “Stadium of Fire” for the 4th of July spectacular at B.Y.U., the FedEx Orange Bowl Halftime Show in Miami, Florida, the Las Vegas Bowl, Catalina Island, the Baja Carnival Cruise Ship, the National Dance Team Championships at Walt Disney World in Florida, and attend dance camp each summer.
- Classes begin the FIRST WEEK of August and continue through May.
Enrollment closes the end of August, so be sure to get signed up!
- The PIZAZZ dance season runs from August to May with open enrollment only throughout the month of August.

*PIZAZZ ALL-STARZZ* is an Advanced Tryout Team
that goes up through 12th grade! You must be a member of the regular PIZAZZ dance class to tryout for this advanced class unless you are a 10th-12th grade dancer.
